How to Install Merciless Mod for Call of Duty 2
Installing Merciless Mod for Call of Duty 2 is not very difficult, but you need to follow some steps carefully. Here is a guide on how to do it:
Download the zip file of Merciless Mod from Mod DB. The multiplayer version is here: https://www.moddb.com/mods/merciless-mod. The single player version is here: https://www.moddb.com/mods/merciless-matador.
Extract the zip file and make sure it contains the following files: merc2v3_2.iwd (client side mod), merc2v3_2_svr_.iwd (server side mod), merc2ded.cfg, message.cfg, message.gsc. The other files are not needed to run Merciless Mod.
Create a folder named "merc2v3_2" in your Call of Duty 2 game directory and copy all the files from step 2 into it.
Create a shortcut to your "CoD2MP_s.exe" file and add "+set fs_game merc2v3_2 +exec merc2ded.cfg" to your target line. For example: "x:\game path\call of duty 2\CoD2MP_s.exe" +set fs_game merc2v3_2 +exec merc2ded.cfg
If you want to enable Punkbuster, edit the merc2ded.cfg file and remove the double slashes in front of the following lines: sv_punkbuster "1", pb_sv_enable, exec pbsv.cfg
