Fear Street Part Three: 1666 (titled onscreen as Fear Street 1666 for its first half and Fear Street 1994: Part 2 for its second half) is a 2021 American supernatural horror film directed by Leigh Janiak, who co-wrote the screenplay with Phil Graziadei and Kate Trefry. Based on the book series of the same name by R. L. Stine, it is the third and final installment of the Fear Street trilogy after Part One: 1994 and Part Two: 1978 and stars Kiana Madeira, Ashley Zukerman, Gillian Jacobs, Olivia Scott Welch, Benjamin Flores Jr., and Darrell Britt-Gibson. The film follows the origins of Shadyside's curse in the mid-17th century and the survivors in 1994 who try to put an end to it.

Y ya en Fear Street Parte 3: 1666, como era de suponer, la película nos lleva a los orígenes de la historia en una era marcada por la caza de brujas. Las dos comunidades aun no existían, y todos formaban parte de una sola denominada "Union". Persecuciones religiosas, acusaciones entre vecinos,... todo muy Salem. Las referencias más fáciles que me vienen son "El Crisol" y "The Witch".
Los dos planos con los que juega el cierre de la trilogía (1666 y 1994) nos dividen el registro musical con temas compuestos por Marco Beltrami en su mayor parte, y grupos como Oasis, The Offspring o Pixies.
En mai 2021, il est dévoilé que Marco Beltrami composera la musique des trois films de la trilogie et qu'il sera accompagné d'un compositeur différent sur chacun d'entre eux : Sur 1666, il a co-composé la musique avec Anna Drubich et Marcus Trumpp[4].
Néanmoins, en avril 2020, le Disney et Chernin Entertainment mettent un terme à leurs contrat de distribution et la société signe un contrat d'exclusivité avec le service Netflix. En août 2020, dans le cadre de la fin du contrat, Disney revend les droits de la trilogie à Netflix[5]. Le service annonce que les trois films seront mis en ligne sur trois semaines au mois de juillet 2021 : 1666 est alors programmé pour le 16 juillet 2021[6].
Od třetího dílu trilogie Ulice strachu jsem měl velká očekávání. Přeci jen horory ze 17. století nejsou v kinematografii na denním pořádku a tak jsem počítal s krásně ponurou, melancholickou náladou, které jsem se vlastně ani moc nedočkal. Film je rozdělen na dvě části. První se opravdu odehrává v roce 1666 a je víceméně správně stylová, hororově jiná. Jenže pak tu máme ještě druhou část filmu, která se vrací do současnosti a snaží se celý ten námět trilogie uzavřít, což ostatně musí. Nebudu nic zastírat, kvalitně je to vlastně tak, jako je na tom celá trilogie. Jen druhý díl se atmosférou krásně vyklubal. Vše ostatní je stylová slasher záležitost, byť jednohubkového charakteru. Pořád ale respekt za nápad natočit takovou trilogii. Na Netflixu podobné projekty nebývají každý den.(30.08.2021)
Od trilogie Fear Street jsem očekával trojici různorodých filmů, které slasher subžánr zpracují rozličnými způsoby určenými dobou svého zasazení. Rok 1994 se měl nést ve stylu Vřískotu a zábavného devadesátkového pomrkávání na fanoušky, 1978 mohla být renesance kempového slasheru po vzoru The Burning nebo Pátku třináctého, a rok 1666 jsem si představoval jako drsný dobový horor, jehož atmosféra by mohla připomínat třeba The VVitch. No, vím, byla to naivní představa. V celkovém pohledu je Fear Street nakonec taková typická nenáročná netflixárna, žánrovka přizpůsobená moderní době a mladému publiku, kdy styl jednotlivých dílů se mezi sebou v podstatě nijak moc neliší. Omílá to furt dokola to samé, postavy se chovají stejně, má to stejný styl odlehčení. Ve výsledku promarněná příležitost přinést něco fakt speciálního, ale za to obětování tří večerů to asi i tak stojí. 1978 > 1666 > 1994. Oproti evidentně převládajícímu konsensu bych řekl, že je tenhle díl odpovídajícím zakončením. Tematicky se to pěkně propojuje se "současností".(24.07.2021) 041b061a72
